I can drive both, but I prefer the manual transmission except when I'm stuck in "stop and go" traffic that just creeps along. Also if I get stuck in the snow, it's next to impossible to "rock" the vehicle out with a manual transmission (with an automatic it's easy to just shift between drive & reverse).

Yes I can drive both. I prefer 5 speed where there are few traffic lights. I don't care too much for an automatic it takes the fun out of driving.

I drive an automatic now, but learned on a stick and owned one for many years. My dad always said one should learn on a stick, then you'll be able to drive anything!

i can drive both. We have an automatic and a stick shift. I really like the stick shift usually but I don't like driving stick in bad weather conditions or if traffic is really bad...My leg gets tired. :D
