easiest way to cry on demand is as follows:
1) master the chin quivering thing. if you can make your chin quiver rapidly...watch what happens. I don't know if there's some sort of nerve ending or pressure point down there or what, but when your chin quivers, something is triggered. try it once, you'll see. The lips are very sensitive as well, that whole area of your body probably has some sort of nerve endings or what not - you'll have to try it.
2) know how to manipulate tears. easy to do as well. when you blink your eyes, your eyelids are providing moisture to your eyes. just don't blink. keep your eyes wide open for a while. your tear ducts then swing into action providing the moisture the eye needs, that it's not getting because you're not blinking.
merge the two together, sob a little bit, and there you have it.
note of caution - don't do this at funerals. natural crying in most situations is much better than manipulation. if you can cry for real - do it.

It depends on what the character in the script is doing. If you can relate, then you could think about that sad thing. I'm in Project Crash at my school and we're doing rehearsals right now. My friend goes through the windshield of the car and dies. Because she's one of my best Friends I still cry... no matter what. If that doesn't work then (I hate to say this but) try to think of something horrible that has happened to you. I hope this helps!!

I hope you're an actress. Okay, I cry on demand when I'm onstage by framing in my mind a really sad feeling. When I was eight years old my Mom got me a kitten that I named Whitney. She was a white and black cat, and beautiful green eyes. She was killed in front of my eyes by a hit and run. That's the thing that puts me over the edge. You have to find the thing that is the edge-pusher for yourself. Trilli

Yeah, there is something you can purchase, probably from a costume house, that will cause your eyes to water. You could try concealing cut onion (freshly cut, very freshly) somewhere in your costume where you can smell it, but the audience won't see or smell it.
Otherwise, dab a little soap in your eyes, or watered down handsoap. But I'd practise because it WILL sting and sometimes your eyes will lock shut as a protective measure.
Barring all of that, think of something truly, truly heartwrenching. All I have to do is envision one of my own children lying sweetly in a coffin, surrounded by flowers and bang....Niagara Falls baby. It's a twisted trick, but hey, whatever works.

You can do external or internal.
The internal, also known as "the method," means you remember an event or situation that made you terrifically sad, then expand on that emotion.
Externally (and this is the one I use), you create the physicality of your body/face associated with crying. I use, at various times, a quivering lip, slightly scrunched face, a brief sob.

When I do it (this may not work fo reveryone), I kind of raise my eyebrows and open my eyes wide for a few seconds, and then they get kind of teary. Then, I think of something that makes me sad, like (for me) my dog who recently died. That pretty much gets the tears going.
Or, try to relate to your character. I don't know the character's sisuation, but if you can, try to relate to what they're going through. Try to look at the situation as if it were in real-life, and it was happening to you and your loved ones. That works well too.

ogawd, I cry at the drop of a hat. I think of something really really sad, or the happiest time you ever had and know that that will never happen again?
Honestly, I can cry whenever!

Just think of the last time you were really sad or upset about something and just wanted to cry. If you can recall how you felt, you can do it.

There's this "lipstick" that you put under your eyes that can make you cry. If you watch America's Next Top Model there's an episode.... I don' tknow where you can buy it but google it.
