Hi, I'm going to Candolim in the North. I'm starting to think it's going to be a lot like Benidorm! lol. Yeah, I noticed I missed the festival of Colours. Is there anywhere you would recommend taking a day to visit or anything like that? Thanks again.

check out the indiamike or thorntree websites. both helped me a lot decide what i wanted to do in India. i did find Goa to be very westernised compared to the rest of India but this time of year it is getting a lot quieter (all the Israelis will have packed up and be heading to Manali) as the season is coming to an end.
enjoy yourself

I was in Goa for a week up until about 4 days ago. Depends where you're going? North or South? Have you been before? North had more stalls/markets/night life, South was relaxed and a lot calmer (and a lot less of the 50+ English crowd in bikini's). You've just missed the Holi Festival, not sure what's coming up. Weather in the north was warm but not humid, south was warm and fairly humid (maybe around 70%). Sorry, can't be more specific without knowing where in Goa you're staying, there's a bit of distance between the north/south ends.
