I have a follow-up US to determine whether I have low levels or whether the fluid was simply not easily visualized during my last US. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. Baby's development appears fine so there is no obvious cause from the baby.

Anyone have low levels during 2nd trimester? If so, what was your treatment?

at 24 weeks I measured low amniotic fluid, and I was considered a high risk pregnancy from there on out..which actually didn't last too long. my water broke 5 weeks later. butttt.. the doctors will have you go in to either the hospital, or a doctors office with an ultrasound machine twice a week to monitor the heart rate, and see if you're ever contracting, which is called a non stress test, or nst. and then once a week, they'll check the fluid levels to make sure they aren't going down anymore. they'll also have you drink tons and tons of water daily. I was drinking 4 24 oz bottles of water a day, plus, what I would normally drink with meals and such. and, then finally, if you're still under 36 weeks, they'll pump in an artificial fluid. but after 36 weeks, they'll induce labor. maybe 35 or 37 weeks. haha. it depends on the hospital and the doctor, and how much they think the baby needs to be out.

Hello I'm 18 weeks pregnant I went in for a normal ultra sound check up and they discovered I had little to no amniotic fluid and they kept me there for several days doing test. My water didn't seem to be broken or torn so The doctors have told me that they don't have an answer as to why I don't have any and I didn't have enough for them to inject any liquid safely to be able to determine clearly what was going on in there. But they did do a very exact ultra sound on a different machine and were able to see the brain developing correctly and what they thought were kidneys developing and also a normal bladder. They are really at a loss for words and don't have much answers but two options to terminate the pregnancy now or wait for the baby to die on it's own. Please help with you outcome

How old is your grandma?! She could be extremely youthful because of the fact up till the Nineteen 1880s, there have been no ultrasounds to tell if there replaced into adequate amniotic fluid or no longer. Please upload some data. approximately that, i'm very curious to nicely known. this could be a frustrating question to respond to because of the fact it is no longer the mummy who makes the amniotic fluid, it is the toddler. All amniotic fluid is, is the toddler's urine, which the toddler swallows and pees back out returned. Did all and sundry on your loved ones have kidney problems that would have had an effect on how plenty they urinated mutually as in utero? Kidney problems could be heriditary. i do no longer think of you are able to desire to tension in spite of the shown fact that.
