Try going to http://www.alexa.com. They can give you an idea as to how much traffic a site gets over time. It lets you compare traffic from one site to another too.

Most commerical hosts will keep stats of daily, weekly and monthly vistits. You can even find out where they are coming from.

Google has an excellent package that will show you graphically were poepl are accessing your site, what countries so on, so forth.

Most hosters who you put your page online with keep track of it and can be found in a tab usually name site traffic and webpage statistics.
