Feeling bloated is when your stomach enlarges and feels 'heavy' and extremely uncomfortable for many women [or men]. Bloatedness can be a result of IBS [irritable bowel syndrome,] Crohn's disease, stomach ulcers, PERIODS, and not getting the nutrients your body needs [which leads to your diet in the long run].
If you feel bloated, you should drink lots of water even though you might not feel like it, as this 'refreshes' your stomach and makes you feel 100% BetterR.
It's absolutely normal 50% of the time, so don't worry.

It's when your body is holding water or gas in your body pre-period. This can make it look like you've gained a few pounds. Drink some water or take some Tums to flush the toxins if you ever get bloated.

I looked it up on the dictionary of my ISP and it said "puffy". Another word for "puffy" would be swollen or swelling.

This can occur because of the hormones going on in the week or two before the period comes.
