As far as I know there is:
A drinker - never spills the beer regardless the situation
Someone who drinks - spills beer all the time and get drunk after a couple of drinks.
In your case I believe you are a drinker since it sounds like it was the first time you spilled your beer. To solve the problem:
*clean yourself up if you spilled some on you Gucci top and get another one.
*Get a mop and cleanup the place. If its a bar or a friend's place, leave it as it is and get yourself another cold one
That should get you back in the mood and make you forget that you did spill a beer...
