Im not quite sure what type of facric the sail is made of but it have mildew on it and Im not sure how to clean it.

Hi there. Mildew is a living plant. To kill it use a spray bottle with bleach and water (50-50 mix). This will take a few applications. Bleach will stain non white fabrics white. The next choice would be straight white vinegar. Sunshine will also help. With both methods, a few applications may be necessary. Happy sailing.

well the best way is to put the sail outside into the sunlight as the sun kills of the mildew, then add lemon juice and again let dry i the sun, Normally if it´s of dry cleaning material you do the same out into the sun add lemon juice but add salt . then wash down with a sponge and clear water

scrub brush and bleach water solution. Word of caution, don't wear your favorite clothes, they will get bleached as well.
