Yes as you should probably for 1 year. You can get work permit that lets you drive to work. Did anyone get killed? You may have to make license plates.

It's certainly true, and as you see from the answers, the details are fairly state specific. You lose it for 90 days in my state for a non-aggravated, 1st DUI (we call it DWI). You can get a limited work license, but not for someone who has a commercial license. Even a limited license is dicey--everything has to right to get the limited license and you have to install an interlock (intoxilyzer) device. You have to blow into it just to get the car started. On the other hand, our governor approved the medical marijuana bill the legislature passed yesterday.

yes you certainly can lose your license after your first DUI. My ex boyfriend did. I can't remember for how long, I'm thinking it was 6 months, but after 3 months, he was given a "hardship" license. Which meant he was only allowed to drive to work and back, that's it. And like an idiot he got a 2nd DUI and lost his license for a year. Some people never learn.

Depends on the state, some states will take it if you are under the legal age, California is 21. They can allow you to drive to work or school or both in most cases, unless there is other circumstances, such as an injured party, or you were way over the legal limit.
