I can't believe people who say "get married for the right reason". What better reason could there be for getting married, than to create a loving home for a child? You might need to make an appointment at the court house, but you probably wouldn't have to wait too long. Good luck.

This is totally upp to you but do not only get married because there is a baby on the way. Get married for the right reasons and for love is all i am saying. Just make sure you both are really ready for this marriage and life time commitment. Good luck to the both of you. How old are both of you anyways? I feel in this case that you should probably wait until after the baby is born to make sure you are both ready for this marriage in the first place. You should not have to change anything on the birth certificate anyways.

Nothing in life is easy, but don't get married unless you want to. And are ready. Marriage is a lifetime commitment. And divorces are expensive. It doesn't matter about paper work or anything like that. Marry for the right reasons.

why would you have to change anything on the birth certificate? the only thing that would be diferent is your last name and that shouldn't matter. you can still give the baby the fathers last name and not yours.
