I am currently stationed overseas and received word my 6 year old son was attacked at school by a 10 year old KNOWN problem child. He received torn and dislocated tendons in his right knee and thigh and has a cast from his foot to his hip. when the incident happened he reported to the office as he should and was redirected to his class room where he sat in pain approximately 4 hours until school ended. My spouse was not contacted by the school nurse or anyone that day. My son complained and cried but was not seen by the nurse whom the principle said was off that day. My father in Law picked him up from school and had to carry him from his class room because he could not walk and had no elasticity in his knee. When the school was questioned they said he fell but further examination of the incident the real incident came out. Just want to know if this is worth getting a lawyer and pursuing a law suit. Thanks SSG Veasley

Talk to an attorney. It seems the school might have some degree of liability in this matter. Also did they notify the boys parents that contributed to this injury? heres luck ......bettyk

There are potentially grounds for the suit against the school, based on a theory of negligent supervision, since the school owed a duty of care for your son while he was there.

You should contact an attorney licensed in your home state, or contact JAG to see if they can help you find one.

I would if it were me. That's outrageous! Find a good attorney, and see what they think, but I would imagine it is definitely a justifiable suit.

Hope your son feel better and heals soon!

Sounds like they were negligent on more than one front. I would consult a lawyer and they will be able to guide you though this.
