Fiberglass is glass fibre matting reinforced with plastic, usually polyester. Polyester does not burn well. The glass matting will leave a big mess behind. I suggest you place the departed in the boat with his weapons and treasure and bury all in a long barrow. See "Sutton Hoo".

Like a blow torch! yes it will also leave a bunch of crap left over but it will burn. if its in the water it go to the waterline.

Umm, if you're really planning on doing this ... please check with your local ordinances to see if burning this type of material is even legal. (That sounds like it will release a LOT of poisonous materials into the air.) And of course I hope it's YOUR boat to do with as you please. =)

Fiberglass doesn't burn well, it tends to melt...but fire will destroy it.
