The London Olympics is slowly becoming the UK Olympics in order to persuade the people of Britain to part with their small revenues to pay for it.

As a Londoner, we were told there would be thousands of new jobs created for Londoners by the Olympics coming to London. I have yet to see any evidence of this. What is most likely is that workers are simply brought in from Eastern Europe and paid crap money for doing the job.

The Olympics 2012 is already well over budget, possibly already three times the original estimate. Money will be stolen from the Lottery Fund to pay for it. Firms have been moved out of the site area and paid less than the value of their properties and land. The land will later be sold on, after the Olympics and the money disappear into the pockets of the politicos and their pals.

Londoners will continue to pay high Council taxes for nearly a century to pay for these Olympic Games. We were never consulted. We were just told that Londoners wanted it. I do not know a fellow Londoner who wants the Olympic Games in London in 2012.

Anyone with any sense will realise this is a major rip off. They're taking yet more money out of the lottery which means less for the arts and don't try to kid us the Olympics will benefit the arts.
Also - sorry London but why has the rest of the UK got to chip in. There'll be minimal benefits to any area outside a very small geographic circle.

The Dome was a big waste of money and this Olympics 2012 is going to be the same i think as they will use it only for the 2012 and then it will just stay there adn no one will use it. Another waste of money

Of Course they are not ripping us off!

We may have bailiffs at our door due to the cost of living now being too high, but hey we get to look at things like the millennium dome on TV and now get to watch the olympics actually in the UK! (watching the TV from the radio rentals shop window in the dark that is)

No sirree Bob, just another ploy to regenerate run down areas of London at the expense of the tax paying public and to raid the Lotto purse AGAIN to pay for it, remember the Dome?

Value from the Dome, is this some kind of joke or trick question? millions after millions squandered by politicians who have no business acumen but egos incredibly inflated enough to think they could manage such large and complicated projects.

If you want to send some ships, we have a paid off Olympic Dome that we could sell to you real cheap, well Canadian dollars anyway. We don't have any major league sports using it anymore so I'm sure we could find alternate, profitable use for the land.

What is absolutely disgraceful is the robbing of Lottery money to the tune of several £billion over the coming years. Many good causes will suffer badly.

Everyone should stop doing the Lottery and give that money straight to your favourite charity/charities.
