is it possible that for 4 or 5 years we think we love someone..we feel passionate..warm..aroused etc by that person.
but when we realize that we actually hold no great importance in his/her life... why do we..or why do i think... i was such a clown to be available always ???
is it really possible that we confuse love ..for maybe great time pass?

To have stayed in a relationship for that many years does say that you loved the person, noone can be in a relationship for that many years had it not been for love. We sometimes stay in relationships for the wrong reasons sometimes, maybe fear of being alone, but the bottom line is our of evil cometh good and there are always lessons to be learnt so as to avoid history from repeating itself.

Sounds like you've had a bad experience. I guess its possible for someone to confuse love with comfort, familiarity, & a good time. But when you find the right person you will know it. They will be there for you as much as you're there for them.

I reckon because we care about them. I know a song that really tells what your saying and I listen to it to help me too. I Want to Know What Love Is : Foreigner. That song is really speaks to those who don't know what love is and how we want to know how it feels. There's always someone out there for everyone.

i felt that way too. you devote your time for someone you love or care much about and they like reject it or ignore you acts of kindness. well you know you might love that person its just that they dont have any strong emotions for you.
