well i am also a teenager and i like:
the Eragon series
the Abhorson series (sabriel, lirael, and abhorson)
Tuck Everlasting
Harry Potter
Shiloh series
Hatchet
River
Ella enchanted is terrific
The Notebook is a bit of a adult novel but i really enjoyed!
the Outsiders
do not read lord of the rings because in my opinion it sucks! good luck finding an author email me!

It depends on what types of books you're into.Do you like sci-fi, fantasy, magic realism, classics or what? But here are some suggestions for each type of book.
sci-fi-Ender's Game, The Earthsea Trilogy by Ursula LeGuin
magic realism- Mistress of Spices, The House of the Spirits, One Hundred Years of Solitude
Classics-The Age of Innocence, The Scarlet Letter, Julius Caesar

It really depends on what kinda teenager you are. Some teenagers are more mature then others and it makes a difference in reading material. I'm a teenager and I liked 'Ther perks of being a wallflower', 'Ordinary People', 'Socrates in Love', 'Kamikaze Girls', and anything by Tom Holt.
Don't know if that helps but its worth a try I think^^.

u should read stuuf by nicholas sparks..
he is an a great writer
here's a couple of his books
The Guardian, Message in a Bottle, The Rescue, A Walk to Remember, Nights in Rodanthe, The Notebook, and A Bend in the Road. I read them all and i loved them... he has a new book called dear john [havent read it]

Ender's game or the entire series ( scientific novel that's sometimes hard to understand), to kill a mokingbird, the outsiders, and The Diary of Anne Frank.
