ok my comp was not finding my hardrive so it would bootup so while it was still on i unhooked the hardrive & tryed to hook it back up & it sparked & cut off did i blow a fuse or did i just screw up big time
there is not power anywhere the green light in the back is off it wont come on at all

You shorted out the motherboard and maybe the hard drive and other things.

Not a sensible thing to do, but I guess you've figured that much yourself. It really shouldn't have done any damage normally but i expect you've bent a pin or two on the drives IDE socket and maybe shorted a rail. Have you removed the drive and tried again,it might just want the pins straightening as the supplies are supposed to be short circuit protected. You may have to remove the power lead for a few seconds to reset the supply if it has been short circuited. Finally a few supplies do have a consumer replaceable fuse on the back panel.

It must have short circuited when it sparked. The hard drive probably isn't hot swappable. Some newer model SATA drives are hot swappable. Since there is no fuse to blow you could have damaged one or more of the electronic parts. I'd start by swapping the power supply for a known working model.
