I'll be different. No.
A-Rod will, on average, post a .305 AVG, 45HR, 115R, 125RBI, and 20 SB. Lugo and Crede have AVG in the .270 range, whil Lee will hit around .310, .330 as a high. Average them together and it is .290, with Lee hitting .330, which he won't. A-Rod wins in average. It's okay to do this with rate stats because it averages out, but not with counting stats. That's like trading Pujols for Adam Dunn and Jorge Cantu. Add up the Homers and Runs and RBI and Dunn and Cantu win. But that doesn't work. Lugo and Lee will have to replace someone on your roster. Lugo is not a great shortstop and Lee might be injured. Let me change my opinion, if Lee and Lugo are substantially better than your first and short positions, then trade. If not, NO. By substantially, I mean that the first baseman is around Conor Jackson's level and the shortstop around Cesar Izturis's level.

im not a big a rod fan, and i hope the yankees trade him, but, derrick lee is not going to put up anywhere near the numbers of his career year a couple of years ago, even with all the help in the lineup. julio lugo is a decent 2b, but nowhere near a rod's league, and joe crede is a free agent in most fantasy leagues. all this for a guy who's bad year is 35hr, .285 avg, 120 rbi

No, no, no, no... run away. Lugo is rather sturdy, Crede isn't too undesirable, and Derrick Lee isn't undesirable the two. No... it rather is a trick. A-Rod may be ok this 12 months, yet in keeping with final 12 months and the 12 months till now, i'm no longer preserving my breath.

well derrek lee has averaged 28 hrs and 86 rbis through his career...Julio Lugo averages 12 hr and 56 rbi's and and Crede averages 26 hr and 85 rbis.....
A-Rod has averaged 43 hr and 125 rbis....
So Lee, Lugo, and Crede add up to 66 hr's and 227 rbi's....
The only thing to consider is that last yr. Lee and Lugo were injured, but i would still do this deal....
Good Luck!

You can keep crede! He's about as worthless as a whiney sux in Wrigleyville!
Throw in Brandon Inge, Justin Verlander, Jeremy Bonderman, and Ivan Rodriguez and I will think about it!

The only reason I would say no is because you know what you will get with Arod. With the others you can not be certain. I would just keep Arod and not have to worry .

NO! I like A-Rod but D. Lee is a great 1st baseman and hitter. A-Rod is not a leader, he is a great player and would be great for the Cubs, but I would keep Lee. Trade Wood or Prior or both for A-Rod.
