We all understand that men go to nudist clubs to look at naked women, but why do husbands take their wives there, knowing that other men will look at their naked bodies? Do these men truly "not care" or do they unconsciously get a thrill out of seeing other men looking at their wives? Or is there some other reason altogether?

People go to nudists clubs because they like to be nude. They don't care if others see them, they feel no need to hide behind clothing.

Only perverts go to leer.

Men like that are emotionally immature, they see their wives or girlfriends as trophy women to try and impress their mates.

There is also a nudist club in Indiana called Ponderosa Sun Club which has an event once a year called "Nudes A-Popping" which is an exotic dancers showcase and beauty pageant. Some of these women are married and the club allows the general public in (but adults only) to take pictures of them. The rest of the year the venue is strictly for nudists only.

The majority of nudist venues are more conservative, and they frown on unrelated guys leering at or slobbering over other guys partners.

Some nudist venues have a clothing optional policy so if the women don't want to go naked they don't have to be.

It really boils down to the individual's heart. I cannot speak for every practicisng nudist husband since I'm not married, but yes there are some swingers and men who don't really have much respect for their wives who go to nudist clubs. I think that nudist clubs really need to be distancing themselves from the swinger crowd and focus on mainstream family values more like the church does. Quite often married men take their wives to a nudist place because it is part of the venue's constitution. A lot of nudist joints still discriminate against admitting unmarried men even in these politically correct times, but that is slowly starting to change now. On the other hand, nudism and naturism is not to do with sex but body freedom. I know a good many nudist couples who are quite happy and comofrtable with each other and happy with their sex lives. Also, gawking at other people's 'private areas' is not so much unacceptable at nudist places as it is unneccessary. Once a man has seen what it is he wants to see at a nudist place he's then got to learn how to relate to what the actual person is like. And if he can't even do that, then he's a basket case and the club has the right to eject him from the place.

Nudist Wives

Nudists enjoy being naked and don't care who sees them, it's no big deal to them. They don't necessarily go to see others, but rather so they can feel free. In my opinion, most nudists are not the people you want to see naked.

However, let's assume that your statement, "men go to nudist clubs to look at naked women" is correct. Why does it matter if someone else sees their wive naked? Unless the man is jealous or it is done behind his back, I do see why a man would mind. He might get a thrill out of seeing that other people admire the looks of his wife, but that's not terrible. Most people enjoys complements and approval from others.

Wife At Nudist Resort

Real nudists have respect for other people's feelings. Nudists do not go to see naked bodies or display themselves for other's examination. When in a nudist club, it is considered extremely rude to just stare at someone.

The people you are describing are called voyeurs, those who like to watch, and exhibitionists, who like to be watched. When these people go to nudist resorts for this purpose, they are mostly disappointed at the results. Nobody is shocked or excited by the exhibitionist and could care less that the voyeur is looking at them.

Exhibitionism and voyeurism are sexual deviations that are based on exciting, stimulating, or shocking someone. Since nudists aren't usually shocked or stimulated by nakedness, these activities serve no purpose and provide no rewards.

The reason most nudists go to resorts and clubs is the same as any non-nudist goes to a country club, resort, spa, or campground. They enjoy doing the same activities as everyone else, only without clothes.

Nudists appreciate the aesthetics of the human body, without sexualizing it. Most people, when they can rationally separate it from their cultural and social hangups, discover there is a distinct difference between sex and nudity.

Sorry to burst your fantasy bubble.

Ok, let me clue you in here, Sparky.

Social nudity has NOTHING whatsoever to do with gawking at other naked people. I know you'll probably have trouble stretching your mind around that one, but it's a fact.

Both the men and women, husbands and wives that go to nude resorts or beaches couldn't care LESS who sees them...because....now pay attention...nudity for them is not an odd thing. It's not about exhibitionsim and voyeurism. It's just about being nude...with or without their friends or strangers.

They do EVERYTHING that other people do socially - just without clothes.

And if you cannot understand that, then this is similar to trying to explain color to a blind person.

You simply do not understand WHY people would want to be nude socially.

Me...I have no problem or issue with it, obviously.

What I can't understand is why people are so fascinated by something like NASCAR races.

Why ask why.

PS - Presleygirl has no clue, either.

Whatever gave you the impression that men go to nudist clubs to look at naked women?

I think you miss the point of nudism. I personally do not have any interest in this activity. Too cold or too hot, sun burn or frost bite. I prefer my clothes. But nudists do not (mostly) have a prurient interest in nudity. They think it is healthy and overcomes some human failings. When everyone is nude, they tell me that no one is unique, so it is simply forgotten. I agree with this, nudity is not very exciting, but peek a boo (when you see some, but not all) is far more exciting. So sheer clothing, short skirts, etc are what is exciting, maybe I should say prurient. The sexiest I ever heard personally was when my date told she was no wearing panties. Wow!

My husband and i are not nudists per say but we are swingers (on and off) and quite a few swingers we know go to these nudist resorts. So, i think its a turn on for a man to show off his wife (and see other women nude) and if theres another couple there who swing too then he can see the other mans wife and the other man can see his wife and possibly swing with them.
