YOu don't mention the version of Windows you are using, or what type of
connection (i.e.e dialup, cable, DSL), but, you might try the following and
see if that will help.
Winsock Fix Utility
http://www.dfwonline.net/files/WinsockFix.zip
WinsockXP Fix for XP
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
Also, with instructions, at
http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm
However, you might also check to see if Automaticlly detect settings is
Checked.
Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections (TAB) > LAN Settings
(Button).
Make sure the "use a Proxy server..." is Unchecked
And be sure to Check the "Automatically detect settings" and see if that
helps:
also....have you gone into the View Network connections in the Control Panel
and selected the wireless network? Is it a viable network?
Hope this helps.

this should give you all you need to know about setting up your x-box with your bt voyager router, but if your with bt broadband as your i.s.p why not upgrade to the bt home hub,its specificly designed for on-line gaming and has better connections for all the accesories that come with the x-box
a bt home hub is designed to run 2/3 x desktop p.c,s,up to 10 wireless laptops/gaming device/bt hub phone/bt fusion
