What are some of your favorite romance or mystery novels?

I gotta say that nobody has ever beat that grand dame Agatha Christie! If you don't like one book try another because she has a few different "detectives" that work in very different styles. I immediately loved Hercule Poirot but Miss Marple had to grow on me! I also love Tamar Myers and Lillian Jackson-Braun. That Mott-Davidson woman is excellent too. I don't like too much sex and graphic violence in my mysteries so these suit me well.
For romance I really love Francine Rivers she's a christian author but her stuff is so sweet and inspirational and there is usually a love interest of some sort in there.

well... when i was younger... i used to read two series. They were called Phantom Stallion and Heartland. I used to love horses to no end! So of course... the books were about a teen age girl living on a ranch. I used to really enjoy the book becuz a lot of adventure took place in them and they all had a little bit of romance in them. Just the right dose of romance for a girl of 12.
Now, that i am older.... i don't usually read adult books. I usually read teen books still. They just seem more interesting to me. I enjoy reading "White is for Magic" and "Blue is for Nightmares" Those are very good books. There are a lot of twists in them... and also the right amount of romance.
other books i've enjoyed are, "phantom stallion" when i was younger, and "Anne Frank" a holocaust book and "Silent" another holocaust book.

My favorite book, well book series, would have to be Harry Potter. The author, J.K., has to have one of the most creative minds i've ever seen. She uses brilliant detail and astonishing plot points and character twists that leave you on the edge of your seat ever time you turn the page. Not to mention most of the characters arealmost life like. They all seem real. And when i begin to read one of the books, im engulfed in the Harry Potter world. It's so fun to just get away from real life every once in a while and visit the magical world J.K. created.

cuz usually at the end of each chapter,theres a twist to it,and makes you wanna read the next chapter SOOo bad! =]

i LOVE romance books (but others too). I like Diana Palmer, Suzanne Brockman, Nora Roberts, JAyne Ann Krentz, Linda Howard, Amanda Quick, Elizabeth Lowell, etc.
