I recently have been upset to see that my fiancee' is now gambling and losing online. He also has been wanting to go to Mohegan sun and Foxwoods. He buys 5 dollar lottery tickets and when he wins he turns them in for more tickets not the money. Is he having a problem with gambling? I also have told him I refuse to marry him with such a problem. What should I do?

I agree with the first writer. Your fiancee does have a big problem and it will not help anything if you marry him without the problem being addressed. There are groups such as Gamblers Anonymous, etc., where he can get help, and you also need to counsel so that you know the right things to do/say/react. Contact a pastor, local counselor, and begin to address this. It can only get worse if left alone.

For one thing, you might get better responses if you post this question under 'gambling' or even in the religion category. If he cannot control this habit, he could be addicted. Look up Gamblers Anonymous (Google or Dogpile can get you the website address) to see if they have any help for online gamblers, too.
