..okay, I know about Ruth Chris and Mortons'....how 'bout a less fancy place (not Outback), possibly a Ma & Pa place serving good steaks. I heard about a place near Newport or the Costa Mesa area. Does any one know the name and address of this place? I belive it's off Newport Blvd. ??

I'm not sure where you live or where you want to go in OC....but here in North OC everyone just LOVES Stubriks for a great steak dinner that is not over the top as far as price goes, and yet is still not a chain. It is in the very hip area of downtown Fullerton, so you can go for dinner/music at Stubriks, and SO many pakces for after dinner drinks and or music...Heroes, the Slidebar(right next door to Stubriks), the Continental Room (Fullerton's oldest drinking eastablishment from the 1920's), Mulberry St, Cafe Hidalgo, etc.....SOOOOO many choices!!! You really can't go wrong in downtown Fullerton!

Mastro's in Costa Mesa is the best. But it's pretty fancy.. worth every penny.

Its called La Cave...try out Bungalow. That place is not bad either. My favorite is still Flemings for steaks...
