It makes me angry and i always turn my phone off when i'm driving. I would like to know what you think of this?

I was in two car accidents that involved the other person using their cell phone. I hate it and can't stand it! I have a cell phone myself but I never answer it while I'm driving unless there's someone else in the car who can answer it for me. Sometimes I find a place to pull over to use the phone so I'm not distracted while on the road. It's super dangerous. If you observe cars on the road and count the amount of people on their cell phones its amazing and frustrating how many people drive and talk on the phone. Laws should be passed about it and if it already have been passed then it should be enforced because no one's listening!

Here locally, there was a teenage girl who was downloading ring tones on her phone and she hit a bicyclist and killed him. She was WAY off the road. I think all she got was a fine and maybe some community service. They're working on a law here in Illinois for better punishment of distracted drivers. This girl had been in trouble for other distracted driving offences before she eventually killed this poor guy so it's not like she hadn't been warned. People think they're more coordinated and alert than they really are. Yes, it makes me so mad. Another time, I had my kids in the car and some guy nearly rear-ended me because he was talking on his phone and didn't notice I was stopped at a red light. He got really pissed when I told him to get off his phone and drive but I didn't care - my kids are FAR more important than whatever he was chatting about.

Yeah it's annoying. My mom used to do that a lot when i was younger. I was in the States last summer and over there it's legal. I was supposed to have a one to one chat with my sister but she was talking on the phone the whole time. I never had the chance to talk to her..

Yes its a very dangerous thing to do!
& you are sensible to not do it
we only have one mobile phone & hubby takes it to work & before the net & used to SMS my kids a lot & use up all of hubbies money& he would go a bit mad lol
