Well honestly there is no big deal. See with the raise in hormones comes funky dreams. So a lot of woman tend to stay away from the scary stuff since they are already having strange dreams.
But go and enjoy yourself, nothing is going to happen. You know its a movie and make believe so don't worry. People think of pregnant woman as this "fragile" thing but we aren't at all, still the same woman just carrying and nuturing a little bean in there.
Silly isn't it!

I see no reason why you shouldn't enjoy a scary movie now and then. No matter if your pregnant or not.
However in my case, my doctor told me that a certain chemical in my body was already borderline-bad and advised me against seeing anything that would make me anxious, nervous, jumpy, excited to a high degree, or just plain old scared.
Ask your OB as to what he/she thinks and then talk over your options with your partner. You may decide, like I did, that for the sake of keeping yourself healthy and not causing any unnecessary risks to the baby, to abstain from scary movies. Or you could decide that you rather watch the movie and bear in mind that it is all made up.
Either way, Having fun is the most important thing right now.

Oh I had this idiot lady tell me not to see a scary movie while pregnant. Her theory is that your baby has an innocent soul right now and seeing a scary movie would let the devil in and, I guess, "taint" their soul. I looked at her like she was crazy. It was an older lady so you already know they have a 1001 folk stories!!

That sounds like a big fat myth.
Nothing wrong with a little horror now and then.

I think that the baby can hear outside noises at this point.
I don't think screaming sounds and yelling are positive
sounds. Many people at this point play soothing music for their babys. People also "talk" softly to their unborn babies to get them used to their parents voices.
Do you want the baby's first sounds to be horrific??
You now have to think of the baby before yourself.
