i will be 32 weeks monday and my doctor told me if i have 6 contractions in an hour come to the hospitol...ok does the contractions have to have pain or does ur stomach just tighten up? could anyone tell me thanks :)

The contractions usually dont hurt. Atleast mine never did. However everyone is different, every pregnancy is different, and everyones pain tollerance differs. Generally you will just feel your tummy tighten up and get hard. I will warn you some contractions at this point may be from possible dehydration. So when you feel these contractions beginging I suggest you get off your feet, laydown on your right side preferrably, and drink a tall glass of water and see if this helps. When muscles are lacking in fluid and water they cramp up. Which sometimes explains the muscle cramps(charlie horses) we get when exercising.
I went to the hospital a couple of times with my second one thinking i may be in labor. The nurses had me lay down on my right side and drink some juice and within a half an hour or so the contractions disappeared.

With true labor contractions, you will have tightening of your uterus AND pain. If you are just feeling tightening, these are most likely nonproductive Braxton Hicks. If you have more WITH pain or having any spotting, I would head to the docs.

contractions are pain . Tightening in the stomach can also be a sign but follows contractions .

its actually both...your stomach will tighten as well as having pain...good luck and congrats..
