ok, my band needs help getting started like getting out there and noticed....we don't know the types of venues we should try to get
we have cyber cafes, and we have like myspace cafes, around here...and legion halls that a lot of local bands play at, but they are all bands that have been playing for a while.....should we just try to get shows at those venues, or should we get shows at smalled venues? please help?

Ok first yes try some local small venues. Small theaters, Local VFW, maybe a town fair stuff like that. Also make yourself a myspace, not the regular kind sign up as a artist. This will get you a bigger fan base. Bigger fan base = more venues taking notice due to requests. You might even be able to find some local fm, am or even online stations to get played on. Alot of online stations like the on here i work for play up and coming artists/bands all the time and sometimes even specialize in them.

what type of music? if your a rock band, playing at a cyber cafe probably isnt a good idea, because most of the people there are nerds and like techno music lol
It is generally better to start at smaller venues until your band has some recognition. This is very important especially when your starting gigging, and do not have much experience. Make sure you pack some backup equipment and make sure your guitarist brings extra strings and a multi tool! Theres nothing worse than breaking a string in the middle of a set and not being able to fix it. Very embarassing trust me.
Playing all of a sudden at a large venue might make the other bands think you are trying to outstage them, and might make you some enemies haha.

Evelyn's Ashes a music from Evelyn's Ashes i'd could reccomend should be both Backdown or The risk free. The Innocents is about college shootings and the tragic endings all of them share. ive under no circumstances considered them formerly, yet my mom is a personal buddy of the band. the great experiance ive considered is even as a vocalist used peer rigidity to get the croud to do rediculous issues. ive under no circumstances been in a band...
