I think that the Asker is afraid of sharing themselves with the Questioner because it's someone that they don't know who's digging for information. The Asker is afraid of letting their true self out.

Why do you think Askers don't pick the answers they like best? Is that what you do? Why wouldn't they pick the answer they like? Are you afraid that people will think less of you if you pick the 'wrong' answer? Do you imagine that these anonymous Askers are afraid of anybody's opinions? The answer to your question lies within yourself.

The asker is free to choose the answer...That is what I know...If you know something else...NOTHING KEEPS THE ASKER FROM CHOOSING THE ANSWER THEY REALLY WOULD LIKE TO...Is it clear???
