I have a bunch of fish in my tank, all community. Last week my molly was biting my gourami. I seperated them, but my gourami has a hole in his side and its getting worse. None of the other fish are bothering him, but I really don't want him to die. Is there anything I can do, maybe some treatment I can pour into the tank. I feel really terrible, because it must hurt a lot and its been a week.

I think you have two problems the first is overcrowding,if the fish are attacking each other it is not personal it is territorial or there is a lack of sufficient food.So you may first want to investigate the possibility of these two problems. About the Gourami he probably has an infection because when he was bitten the other fish broke the skin.To try to save him you have to quarantine him immediately and get some antibiotics at pet store to paint on the fish or add to the water.
I wish you luck with your sick fish.

The hole in your fishs side is probably due to bacteria that got to his skin after the molly bit off the slime coat. I would suggest putting the gourami in a quarentine tank and treating with antibiotics like Maracyn or Furanace.

Try putting him on anti-biotics.

My gourami got bitten or something by my black phantoms. I paniced and didn't know what to do. I figured it would get better in a week or so. Simple to say, it didn't. My dwarf gourami died a sad death, one which I could've prevented, but didn't.
