Try Nuclear. This area is about to see a growth because there is an energy crisis looming around the world. The demand for nuclear physists is going to sore. Good luck.

In my department, the condensed matter physicists seem to have no trouble finding jobs. So go for condensed matter / experimental fields if you're worried about finding a job.
