Two near death experiences, one just 18 months ago, and 30 surgeries later to reassemble my body. Pain was absolutely bad, and still is- that comes from being crushed by an 18 wheeler, and listening to your bones break.
Then again, had i not gone through this, I would never have known what I know now, and met the awesome people that I have. I believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason, good or bad, painful or not. We learn alot from all our experiences, whether we admit it or not. We have a choice everyday, to have a positive outlook on life, or negative. I lost the use of my body completely after the accident, but I layed in hospital for eight months and made a positive decision, to LIVE everyday.
In hind site, I'm glad I've come through this to live and tell the tail, pain and all, in the hopes that I can inspire others to appreciate what they have - NOW.

It is probably the fact that I have glaucoma in one eye, and I am likely going to have to have more surgery for it. That is the thing I feel powerless about, that I did nothing to cause, and will have a progress I have limited control over. But I am aware that everyone has something physical they have to deal with, and mine is not that bad compared to others.
Relationships breaking down, my Dad dying, losing out on jobs, being treated crappy by friends and people, those are just things that happen to almost everyone. There are a lot of good things that happen too.

I have had numerous challenges in life.. at the time each has been heart wrenching.. and, very personal.. lose of loved ones, sexual assaults, betrayals, divorce, financial , and life threatening health issues..are a few. Each too has made me stronger, more compassionate and determined to help make changes/ laws , and get involved in the process to help protect or assist others now or for the future. We can't stop bad things from always happening, but we can help to make the burden lighter on some of those it happens too if not for us initially.

Mine was getting a blood clot (DVT). I had to give myself painful shots in my stomach twice a day for 10 day. I had to get my blood tested every week for three months. It was HORRIBLE.
