I remember listening to it on a friends headphones about 12 years ago! The chorus goes pretty much just 'Diane' over and other again. I think it was a bout a girl who got attacked.

The only one I know of about a girl being attacked is 'Diane' by punk band Hüsker Dü on the Metal Circus EP (1983). Lyric goes like this;

Hey little girl, do you need a ride?
Well, I've got room in my wagon why don't you hop inside
We could cruise down Robert Street all night long
But I think I'll just rape you, and kill you instead

Diane, Diane, Diane

I heard there's a party down at Lake Cove
It would be so much easier if I drove
We could check it out, we could go and see
Oh won't you come and take a ride with me

We could lay in the weeds for a little while
I'll put your clothes in a nice, neat little pile
You're the cutest girl I've ever seen in my life
It's all over now, and with my knife

You can listen to a 30 second sample of the track here;

Diane was a popular single by Irish band The Bachelors released on the Decca label. It reached Number 1 in the UK charts and number 10 in the US charts in 1964. The song title is sometimes mistakenly referred to as 'My Diane'.

The song was originally written as a theme song for the 1927 classic silent movie Seventh Heaven, by Erno Rapee & Lew Pollack.

Jim Reeves also covered the song in the 1950s.

[edit] Lyrics
I'm in heaven when I see you smile;
Smile for me, my Diane.

And though ev'rything's dark all the while
I can see you, Diane.

You have lighted the road leading home;
Pray for me when you can.

But no matter wherever I roam,
Smile for me, my Diane.

(Last time)

Smile for me, my Diane.

"Jack and Diane"
an 80's classic

Jessica Simpson used it as the background music to "Boy I Think I'm in Love"
