For me he has got no chance - he's got good crops of players but he lack the cutting-edge to be able to pick the best 11 needed at a particular time.Having said that any manager that does not have that quality will find it extremely difficult to win trophy

No he won't be successful. The England manager should be McClaren's assistant, Terry Venables.

I have said this once before...Having a good plan with good intentions does not make you a good manager. You may know what is best for the team, but you are unable to fully nourish your plan. McClaren has a logical plan, but he has yet to prove to the world that he has what it takes to carry out his plan in the best way. Is he really the right guy to do this carrying out? Does he have what it takes to make such a plan succeed? Many think not.

Not a hope.
There is talk of Aaron Lennon playing on the left for England in there match vs Isreal .meanwhile we have Gareth Barry sitting at home twiddling his thumbs .With logic like that the guy has absolutly no hope

He hasnt been impressing me or many English fans.He did a decent job at Boro but nothing since the England job. If he keeps up like this he wont have a job in the near future. They need Eriksson back.

i dont think u can blame the england manager all the time, i agree he may not b the right man for the job, but u have to take a look at the players as well who 4 me play for themselves and there egos not team england.

McClaren is a yes man. plain and simple. No, he won't be a roaring success, but the FA don't want him to be.

No he won't, he is nowhere near good enough to be coach the national squad. I can't believe he was given the job in the first place.

NO!! Can't seem to make any difficult decisions, just sticks with same players regardless of how good/bad they are playing.
