it's a ring you wear to remind yourself and others that you took a vow to remain a virgin until you get married.
that says a lot about a guy if he wears one, b/c i think i've only heard of girls wearing them. i mean, you've got a great guy there with morals who isn't going to rush into things.

I revieved a purity ring when i was 13, and this is what I think it means....
It's a ring that shows you have made a promise to remain "pure", in otherwords to restrain from drinking, smoking, drug abuse, and most of all, sex until you're married.

I think a purity ring is a ring that abstanance only sex education programs give thier students so the kids will promise not to have sex until marrage.

Some religious group is handing them out if you sign a pledge saying you won't have sex until you get married. While it seems to deter kids from having intercourse for about 18 months (not really until marriage of course), it DOES contribute to them getting sexually transmitted diseases because they are having other forms of sex and not using protection - which they should have been taught in the first place, since you really can't expect someone to wait until they find that one person they want to marry.
