It makes me sick of the little boy that was found dead, and a sex offender (who has done this to children before) did this to that 6 yr old boy. Why do these judges let them go so easy?? Its not right.!!!!!! How do they figure by letting these pedofiles go, thats its protecting our kids!!!???What is a good solution to making sure that these @$$holes, quit doing this?? KILL THEM???Whats your opinion??

By killing I meant executing the sex offenders, not the judges. Just wanted to get that straight.

I agree with you to a point. Unfortunately in the cases of sex offenders they have no chance at rehabilitation. The justice system has recognized this by creating a lifetime registry for sexual offenders. When most criminals have served a portion of their sentence they can be released on supervised parole and when that time is up they have completed their sentence and a free to go.

Sexual offenders are the only class of criminal that supposedly are supervised for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately the system does not work and the whereabouts of large amounts, if not most, of sexual offenders are unknown. Since they have already realized that there is no way they can be rehabilitated and they obviously cannot track them then there really needs to be stiffer sentencing to keep them out of the public and away from children.

And as far as judges. They have to comply to sentencing guidelines approved by the lawmakers in whatever jurisdiction they preside in. Blame the lawmakers.

It's usually not up to the judge.

The legislators set the statutory penalties for the crime.
And the jury determines whether someone is guilty.

The judge is just following the law as set forth by the legislators, and enforcing the verdict reached by the jury.

If you think that the laws of your state should be changed to make child molestation a capitol crime, then talk to your state legislators and lobby to get the laws changed.

But the judge cannot impose a sentence outside the bounds set by the criminal laws, which are written by the legislators.

There are people who are sympathetic to Sex offenders. I was constantly harrassed in West Hollywood when I was young. I related one incident to my professor once and she was concerned that I rejected this person in a sympathetic way. I much rather see that their manhood cut off, but I do understand you're more concern of protecting the innocent than punishing the guilty. I won't mind the death penalty.

There should be no 3rd time and if the 1st time included a death, there should be no 2nd time.

Hell there should be no 1st time but how are you going to stop that.
