Are muslim women really oppressed?

What I am about to give you comes from the Quran (Koran): "Good women are obedient....As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them." Koran 4: 34.

As I read this I thought what happens to the ones who do not surrender to their beatings? Well, the next verse takes care of this thought!

"Women who disobey their husbands will go to Hell." Koran: 66: 10.(They have the right to kill them)
Islam also allows sexual intercourse with ones slave maids & as many captive women as one desires. Koran 4: 3. Yet part of the Koran states that fornication & adultrey are sin. The Koran is contradicting through-out the book.

"Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the others, & because they spend their wealth to maintain them."Koran 4:34.

Of all the news clips from Mulim countries, have you ever seen a woman in authority? No, and you won't. In the news clips from Iraq, do you see women outside roaming around, No, you won't unless a love one is killed.
