All of our states have their own unique and beautiful features, but the best state in my opinion is a tie between....
CALIFORNIA & NEW YORK
With a personal preference for Cali due to our outstanding weather, health consience lifestyles, diversity,exponential growth, major earning capacity, Celebrity status, world renound spots such as Hollywood, Beverly Hills, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose (Silicon Valley).

I know it's not Massachusetts. I live there. Honestly, it's going to depend on what you like. Some like it really cold, some like it warm, some like it hot. Many states have something special to offer, and have shortcomings to balance things out. If one state were absolute best, almost everyone would live there or want to. Hmmm, that does sound like Hawaii. Cost of land and of living there is expensive though.

Im from California and I love it here..I dont know if I'd be arrogant enough to call it the BEST because I have not been to all 50 states, but i love it here.

It's hard to compare when I haven't been to so many of them
I have a brother in California-- he and his wife love it.
My other brother upstate NY -- he and his wife love it there.
I live in Illinois-not that great -- we are all originally from New Jersey.-- I miss some areas of Jersey.
But I wouldn't mind moving away from IL -- oh yes I am moving -- this summer to Georgia to be with the man I love.
So that's it-- Georgia !!

i've lived in pennsylavania, New jersey and Florida...my family just moved to North Carolina and its beautiful there. so if i had to pick i would say North Carolina. The weather is great and it looks great there. The south is nice but too south and its too hot the north is over crowded but there is always something to do. Ive never been to the west coast or even midwest so I'm not dissing them but i cant comment on them either.

I think California is the best, obviously because i live in California, but Georgia is amazing. I was born there and go there every four years, oh my god i love georgia. and forget New York, it's all about sunny California!

Everyone will say their home state is the best. One can't dispute that. The objective person, though, will tell you that each state has unique qualities and has so many things to offer. It is up to the particular individual's circumstances, needs, and preferences to select, and eventually decide, which state is best for this individual.
