If we were residing in the Emerald Isles. then there would be no mail delivery today, as Ireland observes St. Patrick's as a religious holiday. However, here we are in the U.S., where it's business as usual for the postal service, except for a ban on the sending or recieving of posted snakes on March 17th.

St. Patrick's day is not a statutory holiday so government employees don't have it off. Mail delivery continues. But not this particular St. Patrick's Day because it is Saturday!

In the US, yes. It's not a federal holiday. Your mail carrier might be wearing green though!

In Ireland the bank holiday is Monday this year.
