your right not all of the nerds are going to be the ones on top.
But a lot of them will be. Mainly because nerds are usually the smart people and when they grow they will be the ones that get many of the good high power jobs.
it's also why you should make friends with some of the nerdy kids because you never know which one will be the next Bill Gates

Because nerds are usually very intelligent and dedicated to their work, whereas the popular and ditzy sort of kids are more focused on partying and dating, not working. That's why people say nerds will be bosses and have very high-paying jobs.

Well, I think it comes from some sort of stereotypes. Like "nerds are always treated bad", "bosses treat employees bad" (remember that those are stereotypes and are not always the truth)
So really it's a way of trying to prove that what goes around comes around.... or something like that

i am a nerd and I am smart but I am not the boss. there are more woman who really want to be the boss more than the nerd because they want money and power.

Because as the world gets more technically advanced, the world is going to need more intellect and less brute force.
A clear example is the pretty-boy jock from high school that pumps gas now.

Perhaps not all, but most will be as they choose to. History can provide us with excellent examples of nerds who've had the last laughs. They still do . . . have the last laugh.

Because they're smarter, study harder, will get a better education and if they gain even a small amount of social skills they'll get the better jobs - they'll work harder, smarter, get more done.... and tah dah!!! They're the boss.
