In June of '06 my father stated to me "You are going to be employed for a $60,000.00 salary." I never recieved a paycheck. He wire transfered my mother's Child Support for my brother into my account. Only 400 a week and 1100 once a month, not even close to $60,000 a year. I questioned him on this numerous times and didn't stop until I screamed at him to stop sending my mother's money into my account. He says i am liable for taxes now, even though i was never employed (from my perspective). What do I do about this? Do I still need to pay taxes on money that wasn't mine to begin with.

It wasnt just child support into my account but an additional 1100 agreed upon outside the court. And has been doing it for 1 1/2 yeARS IN my mothers account. Plus any extra money that my brother needs (Spec. Ed.) IE...moving fees down payments on apartments clothing and any extra,a car for my mother. All the money HE is spending he is claiming is apart of my 60 thosand income, and consequently i havent been able as a single mother to qualify for health insurence since June. Im afraid if i trun him in all the money will stop and we will be down the drain. I dont want to live a lie. he wont tell anyone where he is or his address, i have a phone number i leave a message and he answers even though his company is located in St. Augustine FL he claims he isnt a resident of the state. And the company has a PO address. NONE OF THE EXTRAS (CAR, MOVING) WAS ACTUALLY IN MY ACCOUNT

Your father is trying to cheat on his taxes by dumping some of them off on you, and trying to claim child support for your brother (which is NOT tax deductible for him) as wages to you (which would be).

Did he send you tax paperwork like a W-2 or even worse, a 1099? If he didn't, then just ignore what he says about you owing taxes. If he did, you need to tell him that if he doesn't stop this immediately and undo what he's done if he sent you a W-2 or a 1099, you'll report him to the IRS for tax fraud - that might shake him into doing things the right way.

On the other hand, if you are depending on him sending you money for YOU to live, then you should try to reach some agreement with him rather than threatening him, or figure out how to make it on your own without depending on money from him.

No,, you don't have to pay income tax on this money.
If your father or his company, etc. sends you a W-2 form or a 1099Misc form showing that you have been an employ, then it is time to find a good attorney.
Sorry to hear you have such a father, good luck.

lmao. he is a nut job trying to avoid taxes himself. and claiming he is paying you via child support. child support is not taxable. is there and order for the support> what is owed?

go to www.irs.gov child support is unearned income.
ask them if he filled out a w2 for you and if you did not sign it he is in tax hell.
