yes, between the lines that is what he is saying, and most probably trying to get you to give him a chance.... it is an excuse to get to know him, since you dont. what do you have to lose?

If I were you I would watch out for this guy because it sounds to me like he wants something more than just being friends with you.

Well he OBVIOUSLY wants you to get to know him better, so this means he wants to get to know you because he does like you.
