Well, I guess I'm a weird, strange feeling, uncomfortable slut... Never thought of it like that...

If you're wanting to do this at home, I hope your mom will be okay with it because you will need to leave it in for at least two consecutive months. Don't use a substitue for the body jewelry. It's serious, because wearing the wrong jewelry can cause gum resusation, and when your gums are muffed up, you can't change that with out expensive surdury. Walmart selld cheep bost jewelry that really isn't bad. i'm gonan tell you all the things you need to do.
1) Clean your mouth with mouthwash for 30 seconds.
2) Steralize the outside of your mouth where you are wanting to place the piercing.
3) take a sharpie and lightly dot the exact spot that you want the piercing to go. Do the same on the inside.
4) Have the jewelry that you are using ready to place in and make sure it is stearlizes as well as the needle you are useing(needs to be the same size as the jewelry.)
5) Once everything is ready, since you don't have all the proper equipment, use you clean hands that I know you washed at the begining to pull your lip out where you can see both the dots that you made.
6) push the needle through and leave it in, sloowly pushing it out and trading places with the jewelry.

AFTER CARE!!!!!!(most important so listen up!)
Use 1/8 teaspoon of coarse sea salt(toatly enixpensive [DO NOT USE IODIZED{table} SALT TO CLEAN PIERCING]) per 8 floz or water. Everytime your mouth comes in contact with something other than your thoungue, I would advise you to do a 30 second rinse. You'll also need to clean off the crusties that form on the outside of your lip(caused from the burst blood caprials inside your lip) with a q-tip that you dipped in the salt water. After a while, you will have white stuff on the inside of your lip caused from extra skin from the piercing, don't mess with it.
Restrain from diping, oral sex, straws, drinking for AT LEAST 2 weeks. Don't smoke for 2 hours after the piercing. Use deluted mouthwash deluted with water no more than 2 times per week for atleast 2 weeks. I hope you have good luck on this.

Oh my God! Don't even THINK about piercing your lip at home. It will hurt like hell, it will bleed everywhere, you'll almost certainly get it wrong, you will scar yourself, and it will get horribly infected. You may experience serious medical complications, including blood poisoning, which can lead to a hospital stay and even surgery.

If you want your lip pierced, PLEASE go to a professional studio with proper hygiene procedures.

There is an account of a home piercing below for your further information.

Albeit me to preach, don't do it beause its the emo thing to do. If you really want it pierced then speak to a professional piercer who will have all the disinfectant and anti-inflammatory creams. As an alternative you could always buy a fake one.
