A president that is QUALIFIED. It makes no difference if he/she is purple or if they wear pants or skirts. Not one that is a left wing radical, but one that is rational and has the well being of the country ahead of any political agenda.

i'm undecided the thank you to study, "waiting for woman/black". what sort of subject do you'll be in to be called waiting for this? i do no longer think of that being a woman or black are skills, in keeping with se. If i replaced into an American, which i'm no longer, i might certainly no longer be a Democrat, because of the fact, like our Labour party, they are smitten by trend over substance. The Thatcher bashes are popping out with their insults, with out any reasoned motives, as commonplace. a lot of those in all probability can no longer even keep in mind the Thatcher government, even in spite of the shown fact that it has replace into 'de rigueur' besides the shown fact that for some Labour supporters to play the guy and not the ball. Thatcher controlled the unions, and that they jolly nicely mandatory it. i think of that each and every person is very precise to brush aside applicants that are promoted because of the fact they extra healthful a particular computing device mildew. In precis, my answer on your question is, i'm hoping no longer.

When someone asked Chris Rock that question the other day, his answer was "we already voted for a retard.."
Some of the other posters keep talking about qualifications... yeah when it comes to the Democrats, all they want are 'qualifications'. Why didn't people think of qualifications before voting for GWB? He was a one-term Texas governor, whose constitution rendered him little powers, so he was basically a figure head out there and had NO qualifications.
Hillary on the other hand has the experience necessary: after all, she was running the show with her husband... that has to count for something! She probably has as much experience as a Vice President would... she was in there for eight years.
Obama, which everyone keeps saying is too young, too idealistic, etc. He's actually quite intelligent-- a towering intellectual. His intellect is a sign of his independence, that he probably won't have right hand man like Rove or some insider calling the shots; it'll all just be him and his own decision making. You see, we in America were voting for Bush, but we actually got Rove and Libby. I know Obama won't do that. To those who think he's too idealistic and naive, I don't think it's an accident that he comes off that way: it's because he knows that Americans are craving for hope for a better future. So he's playing that aspect up-- as any successful campaigner would do. Too idealistic, no, smart, yes campaign strategy, yes!
And are we ready? I agree with Chris Rock.

The country has been ready for a while, the problem is that the blacks and women who are actually qualified to do the job refuse to run. We should not elect an unqualified person to be president just so we claim to have elected a minority. That wouldn't be fair to the country.

Only when necessary, America was probably trying to look a lil multicultural during the turbulent 60's by having a president who wasn't from actual Britain (Kennedy/Ireland). Hell, even being from France won't even help you be president. All except for Kennedy were British I heard. Life ain't always fare but if America needed Mc Hammer because martians threatened us with annialation, then maybe we'd have something different, but I think someone would choose to get blasted instead.

Obama is too young and inexperienced. Hillary will be a great President. A little socialism never hurt anyone.

neither. I am willing to bet money that we end up with a protestant white male for president as we have always had. If this is not the case, I expect him to end up the way the last non-protectant president we have had ended up.
