Ultrasound scans are very accurate, within a day or so, so there is litterally no way they could confuse 6 and 11 weeks.
The doctor will measure everything and also the levels of development.
Good Luck! Enjoy your first visual on your new little one.

The earlier it is done , the more accurate ultrasound is for predicting the length of the gestation. In the first trimester, particularly as early as 6 weeks, the ultrasound date is accurate to within 3 or 4 days. By eleven weeks it is maybe 5 or 6 days at the most. So if you know that you are either 6 weeks or 11 weeks then the scan will differentiate between those two with certainty. If the pregnancy is somewhere between those two dates then what ever date the scan says will be considered to be accurate within 3 to 5 days.

Ultrasounds are pretty good about detecting the due date. The early you have one done the more accurate it is.. Besides there is a BIG difference in a fetus at 6 weeks then at 11 weeks. I am sure your scan will give you a pretty close date...

i am assuming that you mean an ultrasound. They are very accurate. The way they tell how far along you are is they take measurements of the baby from head to toe and see how far the baby is developed. I just had one yesterday and i am 11 wks and 5 days pregnant right now. If you are only 6 wks the baby will likely look like a little blob on the screen. Our baby was moving all over the place, it's arms and even turned and looked right at us for a minute, it was awesome. good luck

yes, they are very accurate. When I was pregnant with my son the doctor said I was six weeks, he figured out my due date and everything. But when I went for my ultrasound I was a week farther than he thought.

Very ,they're doing this on a daily basis ,and the utility is first-type , this isn't any longer in elementary terms right down to what's on the show screen ,there are distinctive measurements being taken in the history

So accurate that they predict your due date from your scan, not from what you say about what you've been doing.
