OnFriday I went to the OB/GYN for the first time due to feeling dizzy and light bleeding. They did an ultrasound and detected a moving baby and a good heartbeat. That was the good news. The Dr. said the yolk sac is to small and that I have to go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and more bloodwork to see if things are correcting themselvesor not.
Today I have experienced more bleeding and little bit of cramps (which may just be gas as I am very gassy). I am very anxious as this is my first pregnancyand would really like for every thing to be fine and the baby healthy. I guess my question is am I miscarrying or is this normal? Should I call my Dr. agian or just wait?

I was in the same boat! I was worrying myself like CRAZY! I was @ week 6 w/ light spotting, but my doctor said for rule-of-thumb, when it comes to possible misscarrying, Anything heavy -that fills up a pad COMPLETELY within an hour, and anything that is BRIGHT red needs to be checked for possible misscarying. I had light brown, like red and everything was fine. I was gassy and had cramps, and unless they are making you double over and cry they probably arent a problem. Cramps that stop you in your tracks are not good. I was just fine and if this helps at all, this is what gave me my sanity back.... I know you want the baby VERY badly, but if you have a misscarriage, it because the baby is not ok and nature is doing its job by sparing the little one problems with life. You can ALLWAYS try again, and it is worth it to have a happy healthy baby, right? If this baby isnt ok, thank god that he saved him from the pain of being a sick, unhappy, undeveloped baby. It is just the way nature works and it does it for a reason, understand why and realize that you should probably be thankful if this is the case. ok?
I am sure you are just worried and thats ok! Keep calling the doc, dont worry if you seem to call every minute, they are there to put your worries at ease! :)

anytime that you have a question or concern that can not wait till your next appointment then always call your ob/gyn, if it can wait till your next appointment write it down in a notebook or something to take with you to your next appointment so that you remember what you wanted to ask. there is always someone there that can answer your question at anytime of the day or night. a good tip is to not stress yourself out or get too anxious. this could cause you more problems than you need.

anytime that you see spotting you should immediately call your ob/gyn. especially when it is accompanied by cramping.

also make sure that you drink lots of water so that you are well hydrated and don't get dehydration cramps. you can also get cramping when you have a bladder infection.

you may also want to take it easy for a few weeks. so that you don't overexert yourself. and try to eliminate as much stress as you can.

I miscarried my first pregnancy at 12 weeks. I bled a little and didn't think anything of it, then I started cramping and went to the ER and they said that I had a missed abortion. Which means I didn't notice a miscarriage. You really need to see a DR even if it is a little bit of blood. First pregnancy miscarriages happen alot.
Good luck

I can't say for sure, but I have read that once a strong heartbeat is detected the chances of miscarriages drops dramatically. I wish you the best!

When in doubt, call your doctor. Better safe than sorry. You will never say to yourself "I wish I HADNT called my doctor" but it would be sad if you ended up saying "I wish I HAD called my doctor..."
