change the heating elements. or what can i do first

Probably the element,get a qualified person to do a continuity test on the element and inspect the terminals,don't try it yourself.dangerous,good luck.

I had this happen to me once and it is totally weird. Is it still tumbling everything? That is what my whirlpool dryer did once and I called the manufacturer and they said check your circuit breaker box. I was like--it's still tumbling though. The lady insisted that somehow the electric dryers take up two breakers and that this some how happens. So I did and sure enough there was one snapped! I reset it and it was all fixed. Weird huh. Give it a look--it's a quick fix if that's the problem.
