its a very sheer, lightweight sweater... i think its 90% pima cotton and 10% baby alpaca.
i was thinking of carefully handwashing with baby shampoo and cold water.

That would work, hang flatt to dry...

Well I know when we bought an alpaca fur rug a couple years ago the guy told us if anything got on it, just spot-wash it with warm water and soap.. so i'm assuming if you hand-wash your sweater it should be fine..

That will do but your shampoo might be better, it will cut any body oils better than baby (castile) soap.

Sounds good to me, but don't put it in the dryer, I would put it on a clothesline or something.
