My boyfriend and I go to the same school and we both live in dorms. His roommate for some reason hates my boyfriend. He uses racial slurs and says how he can do a whole lot better than me. He also purposely makes my boyfriend's life hell by blasting music while he is trying to study and watching tv when he is trying to sleep. He recently, however, sent me a comment saying that my boyfriend was gay and how he knows he won't get far in life. I know that my boyfriend is not gay and that he will succeed in life. I'm not sure why he is creating so much hell between my boyfriend and I but people are telling me it's because he is jealous of my boyfriend and because his roommate likes me. Now I'm not sure if this is true but I need some advice. I've already told the Resident Advisors and they agreed to look into the matter. But I want a real official like the police to get involved. And because of the comments he left on my wall, it was considered harrassment. What should I do?

I've had bad roommates in college, but nothing like your boyfriend's. At the moment, the RA's are still your best bet, then maybe the Dorm manager. Perhaps your bf can see if he can transfer rooms (although, this late in the semester, i doubt it).

Sounds like your bf's roomie is a bit jealous and is trying his best to break the both of you. Don't let him get to you and if you can get through the rest of the semester, it'll make the both of you that much stronger. Unless the roomie does anything stronger, i.e. picks a fight with your bf, anything else won't deter him from being an a**. If he does pick a fight with your bf, you can probably hit him with a hate crime charge (due to his use of racial slurs, etc). Until then... it's up to the RA's and Dorm managers. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

You can recognise the signals by watching his behaviour in front of you and other girls. Also I don't think he loves you. I think, he is interested in you because maybe you are too popular with guys or maybe school queen. Whatever the reason, don't try to pick the fight at the end of session, this may harm you more as he is hell bent and may have nothing to lose.

Anyway, if the problem persists, contact higher ups and if they are unable then police is the only way left. Try police onlt as last resort.

hope, you are successful.
