I found out I was pregnant maybe 2 weeks ago. I went for my first visit Friday. Thursday I had some brown discharge when I wipped. After my pap smear on Friday, I began to bleed. I've called the nurse 3 times and they are sure it's just from the pap. Well, today's Saturday and I am still bleeding. I'm wearing a pad because it's not spotting, it's bleeding. Am I having a miscarriage? Should I go to the ER or wait until Monday when my doctor's office is open?

Yes I experienced this-- you should DEFINATELY contact your obstetritian and tell him what's going on. If you can't reach him/her then go to the ER. That much bleeding is not normal. Even if you're only spotting you shouldn't blow it off, you should contact your doctor to make sure. Yes there is a possibility that you're having a miscarriage, but you're body might also only be threatening to miscarry so you should contact your Doc or go to the ER right away. They should at least do a sonogram to make sure everything is ok. All the best.

Smears and internals can cause some bleeding, and i'm sure that everythings is fine. If I were you for your own peace of mind I would go to A&E - you won't be able to rest otherwise - at least then they'll be able to examine you.
I'm nearly 5 weeks pregnant and had 1-2 days bleeding 5 days ago. Because I'm so early I have to wait for over a week until they can scan and confirm whether or not everything OK. Its very worrying but try not to panick. Go and get some professional advice x

She did a pelvic exam and know I am bleeding more and have slight cramping ( that I think/ hope is gas). If your dr has a nurse line or after hours line give them a call. if not and it gets worse I would go to the er

They should have had you come in since you called them with a concern. They should not blow you off when they dont know for sure what it is. You need to go to the ER and get checked out now. I would. You shouldnt be having to be wear a pad. That is too much. Ive bled when I was 7 weeks, but it was only a little bit
