Yes they can and yes they will.
But I'm still rooting for the TWINKIES!

The Twins and White Sox will have the same issue this season-the rotation. Who do the Twins have that are any good after Santana and Bonser? If they cant fill at least 2 out of those 3 remaining slots adequately, they'll have a tough time keeping up with the Tigers, who are legitimately 5 deep. The Sox will HAVE to see the return of Buehrle AND Garland to their '05 form to compete for the division title-a repeat of last years form won't get it done, and then, neither will the Sox.

The White Sox have had some issues during the off-season. Not only did they run their best pitching prospect out of town, but they offered big money to Vasquez, who has a horrid ERA and is extremely inconsistent. Aside from the addition of Aardsma (another Cubs blunder here), The Sox and Kenny Williams have really had us scratching our heads this off-season. I don't think the Sox will keep up with the Twins, who still have some weapons in Santana, Hunter & others (including emerging Cuddyer). However, I think the division will belong to the Tigers this year.

I really can't see the Sox winning it next year. The Twins will take the division but the Sox will be in 4th.The Indians are underrated and an improved team while the Twins are just consistent. The Tigers will fall of the pace a little this year but they will still finish ahead of the sox.My picks for this division are:
1.Twins
2.Indians(wc)
3.Tigers
4.White Sox
5.Royals(better but their record will be the same because of the division)

No way. Twins and Tigers are going to be great this year. Just imagine if the Twins had Liriano, too. Even the Indians are going to put up a fight with the White Sox this year.

No way, the Twins, despite losing Liriano and Radke (both only pitched about half the year last year) have a ver promising pitching rotation. The Twins organization has an uncanny ability to foster and produce young pitchers. Look out for another dominating starting rotation filled with virtual nobodies that can throw like none other. Also they are one of the best defensive teams in the league and with the former batting champ and RBI leader/mvp, how can they lose?

yes i think the white sox can keeps up with the twins. however, they will be battling for second place. the twins struggles last year without liriano and they also lost radke this offseason. in my opinion the tigers will win the division by about 6 games

The white sox are a great team that is renoun for finding bargain talent. But with Williams dealing talent like Freddy Garcia it might be hard for them to keep up. Players will have to step up and fill the void, but consider this, whenm the sox won it they had a payroll of 75million its now up to 110million, does that mean more unknow or overlooked talent. It should be interesting to see.

Once again it will be a battle of Tigers, Sox, and Twins. And as they say pitching will ultimately be the decider and Tigers will kick the crap out of both teams! There for it doesn't really matter does it.
