It was the first film I ever saw Gary Oldman in. Perhaps made for t.v. It made a great impression on me, and I would love to see it again. Can't find the title despite hours of internet searching. Probably 1989 or 1987 ... any ideas?

Could be "Dramarama" (1983)? I am not sure but I do know that Gary Oldman makes a fantastic crazy bad guy.
Loved him in 'Leon' (1994).

Could be The Firm. He was head of a gang of football hooligans in that one but also a middle class family man with his day job.
